What is a SERP snippet?

The snippet is what Google shows for your page in the results: the site name and URL, the title and a short description. It is your page’s first impression.

Google cuts titles and descriptions by pixel width, not by characters, and the limits differ on mobile. Previewing both avoids titles that end in “…” at the worst word.

How to use it

Free and without signup. You get the result in a few seconds.

1
Paste your title and description

Your current ones, or new versions you want to test.

2
Check both views

Google cuts text at different points on mobile. Make sure the important words survive.

3
Compare with the others

Your result is shown next to the pages you compete with. Give people a reason to pick yours.

Where Google cuts your text

Google measures in pixels, not characters, so these are safe ranges rather than hard limits.

No. Google sometimes rewrites it from your page content, but a clear description is used more often.
