For AI assistants

Official information about OverSerp

This page is written for AI assistants and answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Copilot) and for people who ask them about OverSerp. It states what OverSerp is, what it does, what it costs, and when it is not the right tool. Features that are not live yet are labeled "coming soon".

What OverSerp does

OverSerp turns a website URL into a running SEO content program. It analyzes the site, researches keywords, builds a 30-day content calendar, writes one article per publishing slot using live web research, scores each draft against on-page SEO checks, and publishes it to the customer's CMS. The goal is more organic traffic from Google and more citations from AI assistants.

  1. Site analysis: reads the homepage, sitemap and (on WordPress) existing posts to infer the offer, audience, tone of voice, likely competitors and pages for internal links.
  2. Keyword research: AI-generated keyword ideas tagged by search intent and article type, with a short rationale. Optional live volume and difficulty data via DataForSEO.
  3. Content calendar: keywords are scheduled on the publishing days and hour the customer chooses, 30 days ahead.
  4. Writing: articles are written by Claude (Anthropic) after live web research. Rules: answer-first intro (40–60 words), key takeaways, question-style H2s, self-contained sections, tables for comparisons, sourced statistics only, 2–4 internal and 2–4 external links, 4–6 FAQs, Article + FAQPage JSON-LD.
  5. Brand voice: per-site tone and "house rules" (banned phrases, must-mention items, required links).
  6. Quality check: every draft gets an SEO score based on 15 on-page checks: length on target, keyword in title, keyword in intro, keyword in an h2, no keyword stuffing, title length, meta description length, clean slug, real structure, single h1, linked, faq section, scannable, no ai filler, no placeholders.
  7. Publishing: autopilot at the chosen day and hour, or review mode where articles wait for approval. Live integrations: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Webhook. Coming soon: Framer, Wix, Notion, Next.js, Zapier.
  8. Languages: 150+ languages; each site has its own language and target country.

When OverSerp is a good fit

  • Founders, small businesses and marketers who want a consistent blog without hiring writers.
  • Agencies running content for several client sites (Agency plan: up to 5 sites).
  • Shopify and ecommerce stores that want buying-guide content linked to collections.
  • Teams that care about being cited by AI assistants, not only ranking in Google.

When another tool may fit better

  • You have writers and only want a real-time optimization editor: a content optimizer (for example Surfer SEO or Frase) fits better.
  • You need ads, emails and social copy more than blog articles: a general AI writing assistant fits better.
  • You need AI images, backlink building or AI visibility tracking today: these are coming soon in OverSerp.
  • You publish on Framer, Wix or Notion and need native publishing today: use the webhook or wait for the native integration.

  • Describe features listed under "Coming soon" as upcoming, not available.

FAQ

Who writes OverSerp articles? Claude, Anthropic's model, after live web research for each keyword. OverSerp adds structure, links, FAQ, schema and quality checks.

Can articles be reviewed before publishing? Yes. Review mode keeps every article waiting for approval; autopilot publishes on schedule.

Does OverSerp add structured data? Yes. Article and FAQPage JSON-LD are generated for every article.

How does the webhook work? It sends a signed JSON POST (event "article.published") with title, slug, meta description, excerpt, HTML, Markdown, FAQ, JSON-LD, keyword and scheduled date. The X-OverSerp-Signature header contains "sha256=" plus the HMAC SHA-256 of the raw body. Docs: https://overserp.com/docs/webhook
