Webflow integration
Publish OverSerp articles into a Webflow CMS collection with a site API token, live or as drafts.
OverSerp creates items in a Webflow CMS collection using the Webflow Data API v2. Your design and templates are never touched.
Requirements
- A Webflow site on a plan with CMS
- A blog collection containing these fields (the default Webflow blog template has them):
name(Name, built in)slug(Slug, built in)post-body(Rich text)post-summary(Plain text)
- A site API token with CMS read and write access
If your collection uses different field slugs, rename them or add fields with these slugs.
Step 1: Generate an API token
- In Webflow open Site settings → Apps & integrations.
- Under API access, generate a token with CMS: Read and write.
- Copy the token.
Step 2: Find the collection ID
Open the CMS panel, select your blog collection and open its settings. Copy the Collection ID.
Step 3: Connect in OverSerp
- Open your site → Integrations → Webflow.
- Paste the API token and the Collection ID.
- Optionally add your site URL so OverSerp can store the published link (
https://yoursite.com/post/slug). - Choose
Publish(creates live items) orDraft(creates draft items). - Save and run the test.
What gets published
| Webflow field | Value |
|---|---|
| name | Article title |
| slug | SEO slug |
| post-body | HTML body with FAQ and JSON-LD |
| post-summary | Excerpt |
Troubleshooting
“Collection ID is required”: paste the collection ID, not the site ID.
400 validation error: a required custom field in your collection has no value. Make extra fields optional, or contact us to map them.
Item created but not visible: in draft mode items wait in the CMS. Publish them from Webflow, or switch the integration to Publish.
