SEO + AEO + GEO in every article

Get recommended by AI assistants

When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity for the best tool, service or answer in your niche, the reply is built from pages that rank and are easy to quote. OverSerp writes exactly those pages, every day.

How it works

How AI assistants pick their sources

Retrieval-based assistants follow a predictable path. Every step is something content can be built for.

Assistants search before they answer

For most questions that need current or specific information, AI assistants run a web search and read a handful of pages. If you don't rank for the query, you're rarely in that handful.

They extract passages, not pages

Answer engines lift a paragraph, a definition or a table row. Pages written as one long essay are hard to quote; pages built from self-contained sections are easy.

They prefer clear, sourced claims

Specific, attributed facts are safer to repeat than vague opinions. Content that names its sources gives the model something it can trust and cite.

The takeaway

Strong SEO is the entry ticket; quotable structure is what gets you chosen. You need both, and you need them on every page, consistently.

AEO / GEO rules

What we apply to every article

These rules are built into OverSerp's writer. You don't configure them; they're the default.

01

Answer first

The opening paragraph answers the search question in 40–60 words, so an AI assistant can quote it as-is.

02

Key takeaways

A short bullet summary right after the intro gives answer engines a clean extract.

03

Questions as headings

At least three H2s are phrased the way people actually ask, matching conversational queries.

04

Self-contained sections

Every section makes sense when quoted alone. No “as mentioned above”.

05

Definitions that stand out

Key terms get a one-sentence bold definition, the format assistants love to lift.

06

Tables for comparisons

Options, prices and methods are compared in tables, which are easy to parse and cite.

07

Sourced numbers only

Statistics come from live web research and are attributed. Nothing is invented.

08

FAQ + JSON-LD

Four to six FAQs per article, with Article and FAQPage structured data.

Anatomy of a citable article

Built to be quoted

Every section is written so it still makes sense when an assistant lifts it on its own. Here's the skeleton every OverSerp article follows.

FAQ

AI visibility, answered

What is AI visibility?+

AI visibility is how often your brand or pages are mentioned, cited or recommended inside answers from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?+

SEO gets pages ranked in search results. AEO (answer engine optimization) structures content so it can be lifted as a direct answer. GEO (generative engine optimization) focuses on being cited by generative AI. In practice they overlap: AI assistants retrieve from search, so you need all three.

Can OverSerp guarantee that ChatGPT will mention my brand?+

No one can guarantee that. What we do is publish consistently on the questions your customers ask, in the format answer engines quote most easily. That raises your odds over time.

Do I need to block or allow AI crawlers?+

If you want to be cited, allow them. Check your robots.txt for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended. Our free llms.txt generator also helps assistants understand your site.

Will you track where AI assistants mention me?+

AI visibility tracking is coming soon. It will run your target questions against major assistants and show where you're mentioned, cited or missing.
