How long should a blog post be?
Long enough to fully answer the query and no longer. For competitive informational keywords that's often 1,500–2,500 words; for a quick definition, 600 words can win. Check the pages that already rank.
How is reading time calculated?
We use 238 words per minute, a widely cited average for adult silent reading of non-fiction, and 150 words per minute for speaking.
Characters with or without spaces?
Meta tags and social posts usually count characters with spaces. Some translation and academic limits use characters without spaces, so we show both.

How are sentences counted?+
A sentence ends with a period, question mark or exclamation mark followed by a space or the end of the text.
