Setup

Connect Webhook in 4 steps

  1. 1

    Expose an endpoint

Create a route such as /api/overserp that accepts POST requests with a JSON body.

  2. 2

    Add the webhook

In OverSerp open Integrations → Webhook, paste the endpoint URL and copy the signing secret.

  3. 3

    Verify the signature

Compute the HMAC SHA-256 of the raw body with the secret and compare it with the X-OverSerp-Signature header.

  4. 4

    Store the article

Save title, slug, html or markdown, FAQ and schema, then return a 2xx status. Respond with JSON {"url": "…"} and OverSerp records the live URL.

Webhook integration FAQ

What happens if my endpoint is down?+

The article is marked with a publish error in your dashboard so you can fix the endpoint and publish it again. Return any 2xx status to confirm delivery.

Can I use it with Zapier or Make?+

Yes. Point the webhook at a Zapier “Catch Hook” or a Make custom webhook and route the article anywhere. A native Zapier app is coming soon.
